We're past due for a new post
Here's our little peacemaker.
Randy blessed him October 21st at our home and we were so happy to have family there via google +.
If you've been unfortunate enough to have leant me your ear lately, you'll know what a good baby Brig is. Humor me while I say yet again how amazed I am at what a good and easy baby he is. He sleeps all night, eats like a champ, and smiles and goos for his mom. What more could I ask for? We adore him. Doesn't he look pleased?
We were happy to host our cousin, Flat Eva this past month. The girls loved taking her to see some of our favorite places. We love living so close to U.S. history.
Our neighbors across the way have a farm. We can hear their roosters at our house. When the missionaries started teaching them, they invited Randy to go along. Later, Randy took the girls over to see all the animals. They loved the brand new baby chicks, rabbits, roosters, "guard geese," and more.
A pile for each girl to jump in. Heaven.
Face painting practice for Halloween!
Anne decided she wanted to be a peacock this year...
Our friends came with us to the ward trunk or treat.
Anne is taking gymnastics this year.
If you look closely, she is doing a forward spread eagle roll on that yellow wedge mat.
Woo!
At Longwood Gardens we stayed a while to see the trains going around.
We smooched some cheeks.
We went back to Longwood Gardens to see the mum festival. I have to admit, a mum festival didn't sound that great to me but, as always, I was amazed at what they can do with plants. I can't imagine how far in advance they plan these things
Whoops, this is in the children's place.
That is a fountain with paint brushes for the kids to paint the walls with.
Just look at these!
We can't figure out how they get them to bloom at the different heights.
This is in the room called "The Orangery." I want an orangery in my house.
(The tree in that box is a grapefruit!)

Dahlias
And other stuff.
But here are some of the dahlias we are growing in our front yard.
There is also a gorgeous deep purple one that just opened!
I love fresh cut flowers from my own yard!!
We had a campfire in our backyard the other weekend.
We are continually amazed at how wet it is here. It takes so much effort to get a fire going.
The girls think it is the funnest thing in the world.
Isn't the temple lovely? We had a great temple day last Friday.
I'm so glad the kids love hanging out at the visitor's center and a park nearby so I can go to a session.
Also, Randy is the best :)
His cheeks keep getting chubbier and chubbier.
We girls all love to smooch them.
We can't wait to make a pie out of this one.
This is the latest project.
Fixing the leak. Ugh. It's always something...
